DISTILLATION METHOD
Traditional discontinuous steam still, Carlo Bocchino method. The distillate is obtained after eliminating the heads and tails during the distillation process, using copper columns with mushroom-shaped plates.
AGEING
The grappas that make up Ortiz rest separately in our cellars for a period of no less than 12 months in 225 liter Allier, Troncais and Limousin barriques. The refinement is followed by the final assembly, carried out through a careful selection of each individual barrique, each of which brings its own aromatic note to the final taste. Finally, a skillful and patient process, during which the grappas are transferred to a barrel in which an alliance of aromas is created between the different crus.
TASTING
The color is intense with amber and golden reflections. On the nose it offers an aromatic complexity of candied fruit, honey and vanilla. The soft flavor gives this grappa perfect harmony.
